SEO & AEO Support
Get the basics right so your business is easier to find and understand.
Search is changing, but clear service information, useful content and a website people can use still matter. I help business owners and marketing teams improve those foundations, using the available data to decide where to focus next.
A clearer route to your business
What I can help with
Start with the foundations
Reviewing service pages, headings, page titles and links so your website clearly explains what you offer.
Identifying missing information, content gaps and issues that may need further technical investigation.
Answer real questions
Researching the topics and questions your customers ask, then using them to shape useful service content, blogs and FAQs.
Making answers clear and easy to follow, with your experience and knowledge behind the content.
Learn and keep improving
Reviewing search performance, website activity and how visitors use your pages.
Turning those findings into practical priorities and checking what changes over time.
SEO and AEO work together
SEO stands for search engine optimisation: helping search engines find and understand your website and connect it with relevant searches. AEO stands for answer engine optimisation: making information clear and useful for experiences that provide direct answers, including AI-generated responses.
There is plenty of overlap. Helpful content, clear headings, relevant internal links and accurate information support both. For Google’s AI search features, established SEO best practices remain relevant; there isn’t a separate set of special requirements to chase.
My approach is to strengthen the foundations, answer useful questions and keep reviewing the results as search develops. No one can guarantee a search position or inclusion in an AI answer.
Use the tools to understand what needs attention
I use tools such as these to build a clearer picture, depending on your website, the access available and what is already set up. The aim is to turn the information into useful decisions.
Google Analytics
Helps show where website visits come from, which pages people use and whether they take tracked actions, such as submitting an enquiry.
Google Search Console
Helps show how your site performs in Google Search, including queries, impressions and clicks, and highlights indexing information that may need attention.
Microsoft Clarity
Uses heatmaps and session recordings to help show how visitors interact with pages and where they may be getting stuck.
Site Kit by Google
On WordPress sites, brings insights from connected Google services, including Analytics and Search Console, into the dashboard.
These tools answer different questions. Together, they can help me identify priorities, assess changes and spot where further investigation is needed.
Build a stronger foundation for paid campaigns too
Paid advertising can bring people to your website, but the page they arrive on still needs to do its job. Clear information, relevant content and an obvious next step matter whether someone finds you through search or an advert.
I can help you look at that journey before adding more activity. Paid campaigns and organic search have different roles; advertising spend doesn’t buy better organic rankings.
Keeping up with change, together
SEO and AI-driven search are constantly evolving. I keep learning, reviewing guidance and sharing ideas with the specialist freelancers I work with, bringing in additional expertise when a project needs it.
Working with different clients and industries also helps me see different challenges and approaches. I can share the lessons and ideas that are relevant, while keeping the recommendations focused on your business.
Not sure where to start with search?
Send me your website address and tell me what you want people to find. We can discuss what is already working, where the gaps might be and a practical starting point.
Support can be a focused content review or ongoing improvements. We’ll agree the scope and any specialist input needed before starting.
